Students can avoid paying late fees by keeping their financial records in order.  Keeping files on statements and filing them into a wooden or metal file cabinet will help keep documents in order.  If students review the files each time they get paid, they will know what bill is coming due and pay it or make arrangements to pay it on time.

The file should be located in a rooom where the bills are usually paid or paperwork is done so that everything is in one place.  Decorate the area with pictures, artwork, etc. to make it inviting.
